On April 1st, some ladies in my ward got together and went to the tidal basin to enjoy the cherry blossoms. One word...FREEZING!
Though the sun was out and there were clear skies, it was deceiving 'cuz it was bone chilling cold that morning. 
Fortunately, once we walked partially around the basin we found a nice spot, by the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Monument, to throw out a blanket and let the kids run loose.
It was pleasant since the trees surrounding us blocked the wind. After our little break, it had warmed up nicely, so it was a little more bearable.
It was a fun day, and nice getting to know these ladies a bit more.
This is my personal favorite.

how great that you got to go! I hate to admit it, but we were just there 2 weeks ago for a ward temple trip and i wanted to go see the blossoms soooo bad, but it was a quick trip and we didn't have time for anything but the temple :(, so i'm glad you got to see the pretty blossoms! don't you love spring?
That is sooooo cool. I love, love, love Cherry Blossoms. It looks so beautiful in the pics, it's hard to imagine it so freezing!
